A solar flare occurs when magnetic energy that has built up in the solar atmosphere is suddenly released. Ionosphere

The layer of the earth's atmosphere that contains a high concentration of ions and free electrons and is able to reflect radio waves. It lies above the mesosphere and extends from about 50 to 600 miles (80 to 1,000 km) above the earth's surface.

Geomagnetic

A geomagnetic storm is a temporary disturbance of the Earth's magnetosphere caused by a solar wind shock wave and/or cloud of magnetic field that interacts with the Earth's magnetic field. The increase in the solar wind pressure initially compresses the magnetosphere.

Space Research Data Repository System Overview

Research areas like space science, meteorology and other research investigators in their use of geophysical technology are inherently based on large amounts of experimental and/or observational data.
Data portals are basis fundamental to the conduct of research in these areas. The idea of this project is to let researchers focus their development objectives and leave the rest of the work to a portal generator that applies the best practices in Web-based system design and implementation to build the data portal.
The goal of this project is to minimize the time and effort spent on data collections by space science researchers, so that the researchers just need to provide the parameters / search criteria for download the data.
